年味不散场，镇远龙灯舞动“续费”新春狂欢 Zhenyuan Dragon Dance Extends the Spring Festival Celebration

锣鼓喧天辞旧岁，龙舞翩跹迎新春。尽管春节假期已然落幕，镇远古城的年味却依旧浓郁。连日来，镇远龙灯会持续火爆，吸引全国各地游客纷至沓来，齐聚这座千年古城，共赴一场别开生面的非遗民俗盛宴。

Amidst the resounding beats of drums and gongs bidding farewell to the old year, graceful dragon dances welcome the new one. Although the Spring Festival holiday has come to an end, the festive atmosphere in the ancient town of Zhenyuan remains as strong as ever. In recent days, the Zhenyuan Dragon Lantern Festival has continued to draw crowds, attracting visitors from all over the country to this thousand-year-old town for an extraordinary intangible cultural heritage experience.

夜幕降临，古城灯火辉煌，青石板街上光影交织，人潮涌动，热闹非凡，伴随着激昂的锣鼓声，龙灯踩街巡游自古城正门口浩荡启程。

As night falls, the ancient town is illuminated with brilliant lights. On the bluestone streets, shadows and beams intertwine amidst the bustling crowds. The lively scene unfolds as the dragon lantern parade sets off magnificently from the main gate of the ancient town, accompanied by the stirring rhythm of drums and gongs.

指路人提灯引路，牌灯、花钵、鱼灯、生肖灯、扎故事、挑花篮、腰鼓队、文艺表演队、舞狮队、龙灯队依次排开，穿梭于古城街巷，精彩纷呈的民俗展演为市民和游客献上一场视听交融的文化盛宴。

A guide leads the way with a lantern, followed by an array of lanterns in various forms—lanterns bearing inscriptions, flower baskets, fish-shaped lanterns, zodiac animal lanterns, tableau displays, flower basket carriers, waist-drum troupes, artistic performance teams, lion dance troupes, and dragon lantern teams. They weave their way through the ancient streets and alleys, presenting a spectacular display of folk culture that delights both locals and visitors alike.

来自黄平县的游客杨海涛与家人一同观看龙灯表演后激动地说：“早就听说这边的春节民俗特别有味道，今天带家人专门赶过来，亲眼看到舞龙、炸龙、彩灯巡游，比想象中还热闹，也真切感受到了浓浓的乡愁年味和当地人的热情好客。”

Yang Haitao, a tourist from Huangping County, watched the dragon lantern performance with his family and shared his excitement:"I've long heard that the Spring Festival customs here are especially vibrant. Today, I brought my family specifically to experience it. Seeing the dragon dances, firecrackers, and colorful lantern parades in person is even more lively than I imagined. It truly evokes a deep sense of nostalgia and the warmth of local hospitality."

巡游队伍中，各社区精心扎制的龙灯形态各异，白龙、青龙、红龙依次蜿蜒步入古街，栩栩如生。最引人注目的，当属西门社区带来的“老白龙”。这条龙身洁白如雪、缀以绚丽纹饰的长龙，在喧天锣鼓声中盘旋腾跃、昂首游走，时而翻飞起舞，时而绕场巡游，引得围观群众争相“摸龙背、钻龙身”，祈愿沾福。

In the parade, intricately crafted dragon lanterns from various communities take on distinct forms—white dragons, green dragons, and red dragons gracefully wind their way through the ancient streets, lifelike and majestic. The most eye-catching of all is the "Old White Dragon" presented by the Ximen Community. This dragon, adorned with snow-white scales and vibrant patterns, twirls and leaps to the thunderous beats of drums and gongs. It gracefully soars and glides through the streets, captivating the audience, who eagerly touch its back or pass under its body, hoping to absorb some of its symbolic blessings.

镇远龙灯会作为今年“我在镇远过大年”系列活动的重头戏，自大年初三以“龙吃水”祈福仪式启幕，陆续登场，活动将持续至农历正月十五（3月3日），以龙为媒，以灯为韵，诚邀四方游客走进镇远，感受浓郁年味、品味千年文脉，共赴一场浪漫之约。

As the highlight of this year's "Celebrate the New Year in Zhenyuan" series, the Zhenyuan Dragon Lantern Festival began on the third day of the Lunar New Year with the ceremonial "Dragon Drinking Water" blessing ritual. The festivities will continue until the 15th day of the first lunar month (March 3rd). With dragons as the centerpiece and lanterns adding charm, the festival warmly invites visitors from near and far to Zhenyuan to immerse themselves in its rich festive spirit, explore its millennia-old cultural heritage, and partake in a romantic rendezvous.
